Design isn't about pretty; it's about purpose. Clean, simple designs convey messages more effectively. I balance goals, budgets, and deadlines to generate creative and memorable designs.

Designer

Like a novelist or a playwright, I love to tell stories. But instead of words, I use images. Give me an idea, and I automatically translate it into visuals, first in my mind, then on my screen, so it can be shared with everyone. 

Coordinator

I enjoy making complicated processes simple, so everyone can understand. Creating compelling graphics to convey knowledge is my strong suit.

Making Food Beautiful

 

Feeding 14 million people a week isn't easy. And in the fresh-prepared food department of Loblaw's markets, looks matter. Loblaw is the largest retail organization in Canada, providing premium food for discerning buyers. Customers are inspired by delicious-looking meals, tasting them with their eyes. My job is to help people make beautiful food.

As a production designer at Loblaw, I keep store employees inspired with clean layouts, easy to follow direction, bright pictures, and vivid colors. I wear many hats: photographer, copywriter, editor, coordinator, technical writer, food safety specialist and designer.

Beautiful food isn't easy. But it's so worth it.

Planes, trains, and automobiles...plus boats

 

 Traveling has allowed me to experience the world. I love to document my trips through the lens. Although I am a trained photographer, the beauty of photography comes from sharing my vision with other people. These are my personal souvenirs.

Professional photography requires superior post-treatment. I create appealing and appropriate images using enhancements like blemish removal, skin retouching, posture corrections, color adjustments and overall dusting and cleaning.

 
 
 

Innovative Online Virtual Environment

 

Second Life is an online virtual world, a robust creative environment. Some call it a game, but it's anything but; Second Life has its own currency and its own economy, generating millions of dollars of real-life sales every year. Businesses within Second Life operate just like real-world business do-- create products, build brands, and market and advertise those brands. Below are examples of work I did operating a marketing and design agency within Second Life-- helping to sell virtual products for very real dollars.
